Scanvox starts exporting its AI services to Europe

October 2024

Amid one of the most significant technological disruptions in history, SCANVOX, a subsidiary of Merlin Research in the healthcare sector, began research activities on mental health issues in the general population and certain adolescent groups in the community of Valencia, Spain. These projects involve the intensive use of AI technologies, both in interactions with the target population and in the methodologies and technologies used to analyze those interactions.

The studies were requested by the University of Valencia and the Autonomous Office of Mental Health and Addictions of the Generalitat Valenciana.

It is also worth mentioning that this work is being carried out in collaboration with Laberit (www.laberit.com), one of the leading companies in Spain and internationally in the execution of Information Technology projects.

Juan Chasán, research specialist and project leader, believes that this marks the beginning of the long-awaited arrival of artificial intelligence in the field of health and social studies, which have been significantly delayed in adopting cutting-edge technologies such as AI. According to Juan, this project will initiate a disruption in the way we evaluate, diagnose, and measure the complex world of ideas and thoughts that reside in people's minds.

Understanding these phenomena on a large scale opens a world of promising possibilities for the healthcare field. Chasán also highlights that this type of work must be conducted under the highest ethical standards and best practices, an area in which Europe leads globally. Visit: www.scanvox.cl
